Description
Celtic Woman is a female vocal ensemble that performs a mix of Celtic, New Age, and adult contemporary music. Often compared to such artists as Clannad, Enya, and Loreena McKennitt, Celtic Woman first rose to acclaim with an energetic stage show that shared much in common with similarly-minded productions like: Riverdance (whose music director, David Downes, was the driving force behind Celtic Woman's formation in 2004). The group's first performance was filmed by PBS in 2004 and broadcast one year later, accompanied by a wildly popular CD and DVD.
In 2004 Celtic Woman made there début with there first CD and DVD Celtic Woman. After this followed the CD and DVD A Christmas Celebration in 2006, CD and DVD A New Journey in 2007, CD and DVD The Greatest Journey in 2008, in 2009 they toured with there show Isle Of Hope, this show didn't appear on CD and DVD and there newest show Songs From The Heart CD and DVD came out on 8 of February 2010.
